Please note that while Information Services & Technology and Media Technology Support Services do not provide on-site support at the Jersey City location, students and employees can still contact the IST Service Desk for assistance and submit requests via the MTSS Equipment Request System.

1. How are the rooms outfitted for A/V at the Jersey City location?

All classrooms and most meeting rooms have audio and video presentation capabilities (at minimum one HDMI wall input, one projector, and one speaker). Some rooms may have additional capabilities.

2. How do I connect to the internet at NJIT’s Jersey City location?

Students, employees, and guests can access high-speed wireless internet at NJIT’s Jersey City location via the NJITsecure or NJITguest networks in the same manner as the Newark campus. More information is available on the IST website.

3. Are there computers available at the Jersey City location?

NJIT’s Jersey City location is considered a “bring your own device” facility.

As NJIT is a computing-intensive university, access to a personal computer is essential for the successful completion of an NJIT degree program. Each College and some programs have further requirements. NJIT partners with vendors to provide students with competitive discounts on pre-configured models meeting or exceeding the minimum requirements.

Employees needing a laptop may request one using the MTSS Equipment Request System. MTSS equipment stock is limited, so laptops must be signed out from and returned to the MTSS office in GITC 0300 at the Newark campus for each instance.
