Responding to the rapid growth in demand (and complexity of the business world) for analytics professionals, the Certificate in Business Analytics is designed to equip business professionals with the quantitative and technical skills required for robust careers in the data-driven world of business. The Certificate offers a set of four graduate courses to strengthen data analytics knowledge and skills, including gaining a grasp on how analytics informs business decisions and data-centric tasks.

Upon completion of this certificate, graduates will be able to lead data analytics projects and studies as well as build supporting data-driven decision models. The program provides a rational balance between the quantitative and management skills business professionals will need to progress in their careers.

The Certificate in Business Analytics requires four graduate courses (a total of 12 credits), consisting of two core courses and two other courses selected from a list of six electives.

The program is recommended for part-time students who wish to earn their certificates by attending a combination of face-to-face and online courses. Students will work on assignments including class projects and case studies, as well as application programming using SQL, Python and R, working with real data under the professor’s supervision.

Recommended part-time credit schedule: First semester: 6, Second semester: 6. Total: 12 credits over two semesters (incl. summer).
