Professional Background:Prof Kumar is a 20 year veteran of IBM and Salesforce. He worked with some of the world's largest firms in telecom, finance and retail to advise and help implement their transformation to mobile, digital and value-added commerce. He also led the Watson Analytics Cloud effort with analytics solutions for finance, specializing in fraud and risk detection, and financial transaction security. He built and led industry solutions labs (50-150 staff) in India, China, Dubai and Montpellier (France) to closely interact with clients in the region and align to their transformation efforts. In 2011 he returned to New York where he worked with the corporate mergers team to create joint ventures and joint IP transactions. He runs a tech focused investment fund that advises and invests in mobile startups. He holds three patents in wireless/mobile systems.
